Nicki Musick, “Anahata”, is director of the Yoga and Wellness Center of Columbia. She began her yoga studies in 1972 with the 3HO Foundation in Phoenix, Az. and has studied with Harbhajan Singh Yogi - ji, an internationally renowned spiritual leader and yoga master from Northern India. She is certified through the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Association and registered with the national “Yoga Alliance”. She is trained in Yoga and stress management for medical symptom reduction through the Mind-Body Institute of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard University. She is also certified in Pregnancy Yoga and teaches prenatal yoga and an interactive postnatal yoga class for new moms and babies. She has been practicing massage therapy since the seventies and was licensed in South Carolina at the onset of the state’s licensing program. She continues with her education in both professions.

Sherri Almeida, Director of All About Music and Kids, conducts Music Together workshops at the Yoga and Wellness Center of Columbia.
Sherri attended Music Together classes with her daughter Elise and became interested in offering the extraordinary Music Together experience to other families. Sherri took piano and voice lessons in high school as well as participated in choir activities. She has always loved to make music and enjoys the opportunity to help families create quality music time with their children.

Carissa Leventis-Cox is passionate about using food as medicine to cure her clients. She is an Ayurvedic Nutrition Therapist and Certified Culinarian. As an Ayurvedic Nutrition Therapist, she received certification from the European Institute of Vedic Studies. She has published columns on the subject, given workshops and is currently writing a book with a yoga therapist of repute on curing cancer, arthritis and acidity. As a chef, she received the Outstanding Culinary Achievement Award from the Art Institute, worked as a research and development recipe tester for one of Conde Nast Traveler’s Top 10 Restaurants in America, and won national and international recipe competitions. James Brazelle, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Practioner, Clinical Hypnotherapist, has had a life long interest in consciousness and complementary therapies. He began an intensive study of energy channeling in 1999 with the eastern religious group Sukyo Mahikari for approximately 2 years. In 2003 he recieved the first two levels of Reiki training from Master teacher Beth Simmons Stapor in Cookeville, TN where he plans to continue his training. He graduated from the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy. In 2006 James trained directly with renouned teacher and creator of connective tissue massage John Latz and completed the advanced training in connective tissue massage with John's Institute for Structural Integration. Most recently James recieved an intensive 350hrs of training in Clinical Hypnosis from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Santa Fe, NM and is now in practice at the Yoga and Wellness Center with clinical applications for weight control, insomnia and smoking cessation massage and bodywork, and Reike. He is also teaching guided meditation and meditation workshops at the center.
